Petworth Cottage Museum
The First Twenty Years
In 2016 we were able to stage an exhibition to celebrate twenty years of the museum. Extracted from the Petworth Society's scrapbooks of cuttings, the pictures and transcripts collected here occupied three sides of the exhibition hall. Five years on we cannot stage another physical exhibition but we can show these cuttings here. Unless otherwise stated the cuttings are all from the Midhurst & Petworth Observer. 25 Easter in March 13th March 2008
Easter occurring in March has been problematic. In 2008 the museum opened on all these extra days, but how do you publicise this when everything says April to October. Subsequently we opened on Easter Sunday and Monday even if they occurred in March, but staffing Easter Sunday is tough, so from now we are sticking to April to October.
